Come to the library to play Canasta! 

The Scarsdale Public Library is offering “Chair Yoga with Ellen,” a seated yoga class, Tuesdays at 11 AM. The class includes building strength and stamina, stretching and guided meditation and breathing.

Qi Gong for health and energy. Join us to practice this gentle body movement for healing the body, mind and emotions. Qi Gong has been shown to reduce pain, improve concentration, and help people cope with stress.

SHS students, Marin S. and Emily H., lead this Sunday crochet club for kids in Grades 3 through 8* (*last year's regulars are welcome too). Crochet Club starts 30 minutes after the Library opens on most Sundays during the school year.

Join us in Meeting Room South for a ukulele jam session with others who love to sing and play music. Please bring your tuned-up uke, extra copies of any music you wish to share, and a fervent desire to have fun with other ukulele players.

There has been a Laemmle in the movie business since there’s been a movie business. This is the story of a beloved arthouse cinema chain in Los Angeles with an astounding Hollywood legacy.

Students in  6th, 7th and 8th grade, join members of the  Scarsdale High School Creative Writing Club, who will help you learn about character building, plot development, story arcs, dialogue and more! This workshop is a 5- part ser

The relationship between poetry and music seems as old as time itself--from the earliest poems accompanied by music on the lyre to contemporary spoken-word poetry.

Join us at the library for an informal weekly knitting and crocheting meetup group.  

Bring your own project and spend time with other local crafters. Knit, crochet, chat, share knowledge, and make friends.

Dig into our treasure chest of colorful materials, fabrics, found objects (and leaves!) to create a festive autumn themed collage.

Forever finding loose change at the bottom of your purse? Wouldn’t it be great to have a place to put it all?

Come learn the basics of working a sewing machine to create a change purse from ribbons.

Materials will be provided.

Relax, Create, Rejuvenate in the Teen Room on the first and third Tuesday of the month from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.  Calm your mind with coloring, sketching or Zentangle.

Come to the library to see a traditional apple cider press! You'll have the chance to follow along with a Weinberg Nature Center naturalist to operate the press and taste some fresh apple cider.
