Baseball is back! Well, it’s back until further notice – fingers crossed. Fans of the national pastime are rejoicing at the return of a rite of Summer, although this year – a shortened season minus cheering fans in the stands – is historically unprecedented. Have you wondered why Major League Baseball is referred to as the national pastime?
Hello Crafters! Today we are going to make flowers in a fun new way. All you need are scissors, color papers, glue stick, tape, and a printout of the template.
First, print your template out. There are 4 leaves and lines for you to use to cut out your colored paper or you can color them in yourselves.
Place two strips as shown in the video. Glue them together at the joining. Fold one over the other until they are one springy column. Cut off any excess.
August is traditionally a time when we get a chance to relax, and this often involves reading a book on the beach. I hope you all are able to find a sandy spot somewhere with 6 feet on all sides where you can sit back and enjoy some fun in the sun. As we all know, 2020 is more than halfway over. With the massive changes & challenges the world has faced during the past few months, many of us have not had the opportunity to take those trips we may have initially planned for. One way that has helped many cope with this lack of physical experience is to dive into developing their culinary skills. There are so many cultures out there, each one with their own unique dishes and delicacies.
Who could have ever predicted that 2020 would be such a historically pivotal year? The onslaught of challenges we’ve endured will certainly occupy a huge chapter in future history books.

Library kiosks have arrived in Scarsdale! Four book kiosks were installed in parks throughout Scarsdale this week, with the simple mission of encouraging residents to “take a book, leave a book.” Located in Brite Avenue Park, Crossway Field, Hyatt Park, and Chase Park, these community bookshelves are intended to encourage sharing books, interacting with neighbors, and lingering in the parks. A fifth kiosk will be installed at the Library Pond in September.
