Program Description

Event Details

Library Chess Club is an opportunity for participants of all ages to engage in open chess play at the Library at 3:00 PM, most Saturdays during the school year.

  • For players of all ages
  • Basic chess knowledge is needed to participate.
  • Chess sets provided
  • Open-play: Play against whomever you wish among the participants.
  • Casual format (No clocks)
  • Player pre-registration is recommended but not required. Walk-ins accommodated as space allows. 
  • If you decide not to participate after registering, please cancel your registration so that your spot may go to someone on the waiting list.

This intergenerational program series is hosted by Scarsdale Public Library's Teen Services Department & Teen Advisory Board.

Unattended Children

Parents and Caregivers should be attentive to children under their care at all times during the program. Children are not permitted to be left unsupervised by their caregiver unless over the age of 10.
