Dive into a world of literary adventures and fun challenges, earning chances to win fantastic prizes generously funded by the Friends of the Scarsdale Library, Club Pilates-Scarsdale, and Bronx River Books.
Children's Summer Reading
Challenge runs from June 23 through August 3
The summer reading bingo challenge is here! Join our Summer Reading game for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, or our game for grades K - 5. There are a variety of challenges to take part in, including reading a mystery, or an award winning book, or visiting the library. Complete any one row, column, or diagonal to receive a prize. Finish the entire card and receive a book to keep!
Teenstack 2024 - Summer Reading Program for Grades 6 - 12
Challenge runs from June 23 through August 31
It’s time for the annual Summer Reading Challenge – this year’s theme is “Adventure Begins at Your Library.” Scarsdale teens in rising grades 6-12: Join by downloading the free Beanstack app on your phone or tablet. Play a virtual bingo game where you can win prizes by reading books and completing activities that earn you badges and tickets you can use to enter one or more grand prize raffle drawings.
Summer Reading for Adults
Program runs June 23 through August 3
Once again our librarians have a variety of summertime activities lined up for you! Beginning June 1, you can register for Adult Summer Reading to receive your themed pin and earn points toward summer reading prizes. On June 23, begin submitting your book reviews, and plan to attend Trivia, Competitive Puzzling and Paint Night for more chances to win. Even if you don’t win a prize, you shared your thoughts, showed off your big brain, had a laugh and created a work of art, and that is one heck of a summer, no?
