Join us in the Scott Room for a celebration of the 1960’s Girl Group phenomenon, featuring a reading with the authors of But Will You Love Me Tomorrow: An Oral History of the ‘60’s Girl Groups and a musical journey with Rhonda Denét.
Immerse yourself in the "Love Me Tomorrow" stylings of Rhonda Denét and the Silver Fox Songs Trio as they pay homage to the timeless music and enduring legacy of iconic Girl Groups of the 1960s, including The Ronettes, The Shirelles, The Supremes, The Vandellas, and many other legendary acts that defined an era and continue to resonate across generations.
This specially commissioned showcase serves as a vibrant companion to the acclaimed book, But Will You Love Me Tomorrow: An Oral History of the ‘60’s Girl Groups penned by the talented Laura Flam and Emily Sieu Liebowitz. This book explores the experiences of the female singers and songwriters of the era, and it captured hearts upon its release in September 2023.
Laura Flam is an award-winning interior designer, storyteller, and lifelong New Yorker. She’s an avid music collector with a passion for unearthing the hidden histories of our most beloved artists and songs. This is her debut book.
Emily Sieu Liebowitz is the author of National Park (2018), longlisted for The Believer Book Award, and she is the recipient of fellowships from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, Vermont Studio Center, and Wendy’s Subway. Her writing can be found in The Believer, The Brooklyn Rail, Poets & Writers, Poetry Magazine, and other publications. Liebowitz splits her time between Brooklyn, NY and her hometown of Hayward, CA.
