Please join Deborah Chud, virtually, for a discussion of  "New Perennials: A Love Story."

"New Perennials: A Love Story," is a personal introduction to the design principles of the New Perennialists, whose members inspired the world-changing shift toward naturalistic gardens. In the U.S., their influence can be seen in New York’s High Line, Chicago’s Lurie Garden, the Oudolf Meadow at Delaware Botanic Gardens, and Oudolf Garden in Detroit.  At the end of the talk, Deborah offers practical “dos and don’ts” for solving the problem of excessive contrast in gardens.

Deborah Chud is a retired Massachusetts physician turned garden maker, consultant and educator. Her six  years of research on New Perennial gardens generated the only known database of New Perennial plant combinations and led to the creation of her own highly unusual New Perennial garden. In the fall of 2020, she presented her work as part of “Piet Oudolf: How Does He Do It?", an international event organized by Piet Oudolf’s co-author, Noel Kingsbury, under the aegis of gardenmasterclass.org.
