Join us to discuss books about impactful social issues! In honor of Women’s History Month, we’ll be reading My Beloved World, a memoir by Justice Sonia Sotomayor, the first Latinx appointed to the US Supreme Court. In a tale of family, love, and triumph, Sotomayor details her difficult life journey: from her precarious childhood in the projects of the Bronx to her appointment to the Federal District Court. With only the dream of becoming a lawyer to guide her, Sotomayor paints an inspiring story of self-invention, self-discovery, and the American Dream.
This program is open to teens. This is a Zoom program. You will receive an email with the link to the Zoom meeting before the event.
