Recently published poet, Harriet Shenkman, and novelist, Barbara Josselsohn, will read from their new works and explore the meanings and pathways of both poetry and fiction in conversation with memoirist and poet, Marlena Baraf.

"In her new collection, Wonder Wheel, each of Harriet Shenkman's vivid poems cast a spell as she tenderly conjures lives lost to the Holocaust and other lives lived in its long shadow. Also including poems about a spirited youth in New York City and a long and happy marriage, Wonder Wheel, is well-named after the Coney Island Ferris wheel. It, too, presents a long view that inspires awe." --- Suzanne Cleary, author of Crude Angel

"In Barbara Josselsohn's The Lost Gift of the Italian Island, a woman discovers that the grandmother she grew up with isn’t her grandmother at all. The only clue to her identity is a mysterious Italian postcard with a photo of a wedding dress crafted by her actual grandmother. Determined to meet the woman, she heads to the remote Mediterranean Island where her grandmother lived during World War Two. She is led to confront the decisions her grandmother made during the darkest days of war. Don’t miss this one!" – Silver Reviews
