Join us either in the Scott Room or online for a fascinating look at one of the finest collection of Tiffany Lamps in the world. The New-York Historical Society has collected over 100 lamps from the workshops of Louis C. Tiffany (1848–1933) and designed and produced by the skilled women artisans who worked in the glass cutting department. Individuals such as Clara Driscoll (1861–1944) worked largely in (well-paid) anonymity to produce many of these glittering, jewel-like shades.
We'll be joined virtually by a docent from the New-York Historical Society for an in depth exhibition tour of the exquisite pieces and a vivid look at luxury design in turn of the 20th century America. Don't miss this chance to see some of these lamps up close!
Want to visit the New -York Historical Society or another great nearby museum? Scarsdale library cardholders can take advantage of our museum pass program to get free entry. Learn more about the museum pass program HERE.
Please Note: This is a hybrid program. You may attend it either in-person to watch the presentation on our big screen or via your own device. All registrants will receive a Zoom link roughly one hour before the start of the program.
