Come join us in the Scott Room to hear the musical innovation and artistry of Duo Voxara, featuring two world class musicians sharing their love of classical music. Tracing a musical journey from American folk songs to the classical compositions of Franz Schubert and Manuel de Falla and then back again, Duo Voxara gives a dynamic showcase of the combination of vocal and guitar music.

About the performers

Guitarist Andrew Marino holds both a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in guitar performance and a Master of Music degree in guitar performance and pedagogy from the Peabody Conservatory, a Bachelor of Music degree from the SUNY Potsdam and has done substantial classical guitar studies with Jeremy Sparks of the Buffalo Guitar Quartet. He has performed extensively in chamber groups up and down the East Coast.

Mezzo-soprano Andrea Saposnik has performed around the world in venues such as the New York Philharmonic, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the Arcidosso String Quartet. She holds a Doctorate in Voice from the CUNY Graduate Center, a Master’s in Voice from Yale University, a Bachelor’s in Voice from Oberlin Conservatory, and a Bachelor’s in English from Oberlin College.

Both Andrew and Andrea currently serve on the faculty of the Hoff-Barthelson Music School here in Scarsdale, NY.
