Program Description

Event Details

This free program helps students in Grades 11 and 12 understand college essays and gets them writing in a seminar-style workshop. The first 30 minutes are devoted to teaching content, and the rest of the time will be spent brainstorming, writing, and workshopping their essays. By the end, teens will:

  • Discover what college admissions officers are actually looking for
  • Learn how college essays are used in the admissions process
  • Learn how to tell their authentic stories in their essays
  • Brainstorm, outline, and start writing their 650-word Common App personal statement!

Registration is limited to 16 students.

Light refreshments will be served.
