Program Description

Event Details

Join us in the Scott Room for a family friendly Chinese language film. This program proudly works to provide Chinese families with an environment where their culture is celebrated and appreciated through films. Each film will be screened in either Mandarin or Cantonese with English subtitles.

For April, the film will be the 2015 adventure Wolf Totem. Directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud and starring William Shao-Feng Feng, Shawn Dou, and Ankhnyam Ragchaa, Wolf Totem is based off of the semi-autobiographical novel of the same name by Jiang Rong telling the story of an urban student during the Chinese Cultural Revolution traveling to Inner Mongolia to teach shepherds about agriculture. While there, he bonds with the people and is fascinated by the wolves roaming the steppes.

This monthly event is completely free, and refreshments will be provided!

This event is cosponsored by the OCA-WHV.
