Program Description

Event Details

Join us in the Scott Room for a family friendly Chinese language film. This program proudly works to provide Chinese families with an environment where their culture is celebrated and appreciated through films. Each film will be screened in either Mandarin or Cantonese with English subtitles.

For July, the film will be the 2011 historical comedy The Story of David. This Forrest Gump-like tale tells the story of 3 Beijingers and the social changes they encounter over the course of three decades. They worked hard, dreamed big, tasted failure, and were unexpectedly present for many historically important moments. Directed by Yu Chen and starring Huang Bo, Li Qinqin, Zhang Dali, and Wang Yi, The Story of David is big on heart.

This monthly event is completely free, and refreshments will be provided!

This event is cosponsored by the OCA-WHV.

Unattended Children

Parents and Caregivers should be attentive to children under their care at all times during the program. Children are not permitted to be left unsupervised by their caregiver unless over the age of 10.
