Program Description

Event Details

Join us in the Scott Room for a family friendly Chinese language film. This program proudly works to provide Chinese families with an environment where their culture is celebrated and appreciated through films. Each film will be screened in either Mandarin or Cantonese with English subtitles.

For June, the film will be the 2017 coming of age drama and war movie Youth, telling the tale of a group of idealistic adolescents in a military art troupe in the People's Liberation Army during the Cultural Revolution. The group experiences all the ups and downs of life against a backdrop of 1970s Chinese song and dance. Directed by Feng Xiaogang and starring Huang Xuan, Miao Miao, and Zhong Chuxi, Youth showcases a turbulent era with wit and heart.

This monthly event is completely free, and refreshments will be provided!

This event is cosponsored by the OCA-WHV.

Unattended Children

Parents and Caregivers should be attentive to children under their care at all times during the program. Children are not permitted to be left unsupervised by their caregiver unless over the age of 10.
