Program Description

Event Details

Join us in the Scott Room for a family friendly Chinese language film. This program proudly works to provide Chinese families with an environment where their culture is celebrated and appreciated through films. Each film will be screened in either Mandarin or Cantonese with English subtitles.

For January, the film will be the animated I Am What I Am (2021). Directed by Haipeng Sun and featuring voice actors Xin Li, Yexiong Chen, Hao Guo, and Meng Li, I Am What I Am tells a modern day story of perseverance and cultural heritage. When a young Cantonese village boy wants to compete in the Guangzhou Lion Dancing competition, he must overcome self-doubt, ridicule, and a host of other difficulties to realize his dream.

This monthly event is completely free, and refreshments will be provided!

This event is cosponsored by the OCA-WHV.
