Event Details

This October, the SPL is going to the dogs—and cats!

Looking for a new furry companion? The SPCA Westchester will be at the library with their mobile adoption van, filled with adoptable pups, while adoptable cats will be cozy inside the library. Stop by the week before to view the gallery of adoptable pets at the SPCA, some of whom you may get to meet at the event!

Not looking to adopt but still want to support animals in need? Join us for a fun crafting session where we'll be making toys, blankets, and beds for the dogs and cats of the SPCA.

You can also drop off any unwanted towels, blankets, or flat sheets, or whatever you'd like, for the shelter pets!

There will be a button making station from our makerspace. Bring in a small photo of your pet and make a button to take home! (Buttons are 1 inch, so printed photos should have an image of your pet that can fit that size.)

Note: Although this is a drop-in event, we are requesting registration for those who are interested in crafting donations for the shelter, so that we can determine how many supplies to gather for this event.
