Brain health is essential for quality of life, especially as one ages. Come hear from neurosurgeon Marc Otten as he gives an approachable and lively overview of the health of the brain and spine, with a particular focus on the factors known to promote brain health over time. He'll discuss the problems that might warrant the kinds of procedures he regularly performs and the steps to take to increase the likelihood of avoiding such problems in the first place. There will be time for questions with Dr. Otten afterward.
About the presenter
Dr. Marc Otten is a fellowship-trained, board-certified neurosurgeon who specializes in treating disorders and injuries of the brain and spine, both non-surgically and surgically. He serves the Westchester and Connecticut areas on the staff of Orthopaedic & Neurosurgery Specialists. He is also currently on the faculty at Columbia University Medical Center as an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery.
Dr. Otten earned his medical degree at Weill Cornell Medical College at Cornell University, where he graduated with honors. He completed a neurological surgery internship and residency at the Columbia University Neurological Institute of New York.
