Event Details

Join us for a morning of art and fun as we celebrate the rich artistic traditions from around the world!

In celebration of Jewish Heritage Month, Kören Beck of the Edgemont Art Barn will give a brief overview of a few important Jewish artists from the 20th and 21st centuries including Mierle Laderman Ukeles, Joan Snyder, and Mark Rothko. Afterwards, we will have the opportunity to draw based on the work of exhibited artists or freely. Come create in a relaxed and supportive environment. Try something new, pick up some helpful tips, or or discover a style you've never considered. All levels are welcome.

Art supplies will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own sketchbooks and other supplies if they want more variety in media.

Kören has her MFA from Parsons School of Design and loves to teach adults and children.
