Art Styles From Around The World - Indian and South Asian Artists

Join us for a morning of art and fun as we celebrate the rich artistic traditions from around the world!

In honor of Pakistan's (August 14) and India's (August 15) Independence Days, Kören Beck of Edgemont Art Barn will present a brief lecture on the work and styles of several artists focusing on the rich cultural heritage of South Asia. Afterwards, a regular art workshop and free creation period will be held. Come create in a relaxed and supportive environment. Try something new, pick up some helpful tips, or discover a style you've never considered. All levels are welcome.

Supplies for oil pastels, watercolors, and colored pencils will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own sketchbooks and other supplies if they want more variety in media.

Kören has her MFA from Parsons School of Design and loves to teach adults and children.
