The Art Lillard Duo consists of Art on drums and Cecilia Coleman on piano. The duo plays jazz standards, show tunes, swing tunes, bossa nova, blues and some of Art Lillard's original compositions. Today the Duo will perform "Television Themes Through the Decades," a stroll down memory lane for audience members who will recognize theme songs from some of their favorite TV shows of the past.
Jazz composer, arranger, bandleader, and drummer Art Lillard has been performing professionally for many years. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, he has also studied privately with several acclaimed jazz composers. Art has released recordings on Summit Records, Soul Kid Jazz, and Artists Recording Collective. He leads the Art Lillard Duo, the On-Time Trio/Quartet, the Blue Heaven Swing Sextet, and the Heavenly Big Band. He has written hundreds of compositions, and his works have been recorded by several other jazz artists and also used in film, television, and internet productions.
