It’s Shark Week, which means it’s time to nerd out and learn about these incredible ocean dwellers!
Use your library card to help your budding marine biologist access shark information with:
- Kanopy Kids – offers a handful of shark videos that are just right for kids
- World Book Early Learning – the perfect tool for pre- and emergent readers to explore independently or learn with an adult.
- Gale in Context – another database with articles and images perfect for elementary and middle school
- Hoopla – Try browning their more than 100 e-books on sharks. This is perfect if there’s a particular kind of shark you’d like to learn about (whale sharks are my favorite).
The books below are some of my favorites about sharks! Click on a cover to see the descriptions in the catalog and place one on hold to pick up on your next trip to the library.
