Happy Fall! The kids are back in school, the days are getting shorter and the weather is cooling down. Did you know that September is Library Card Sign Up Month? If you or your child don’t have a library card yet, use this map to find your home library. With your card you get access to all 38 Westchester Libraries and our online resources. Scarsdale library also offers study rooms and museum passes for Scarsdale library card holders. On September 24, come hear a story told by Bumblebee the Transformer and take a picture together. This September, we have some favorite returning programs and October is sure to be spook-tacular! Our returning programs include Wag Your Tale, Petite Concerts, and Musical Munchkins. On September 18th at 4:30 PM we are excited to welcome local author and Scarsdale High School teacher David Sherrin for a reading of his new book The Baddest Wolf of All.
Some new programs coming this Fall are Preschool Pals, Baby Story and Dance, and Projects and Picture Books. More information for these events can be found on our calendar. Don’t forget, October program registration begins online Sunday, September 22 at 8 AM!
This October we are launching our Hallow-Read Challenge where children who read 300 minutes in the month of October will earn a book to keep. Registration begins on September 22 on Beanstack, the same app and account used for the Summer Reading Challenge.
That’s not all the spooky fun available in October! We will be making Spooky Slime on October 26, hosting our Spooky Soiree on October 30th for all ages, and a Boo Bash for the 5 and under crowd on Halloween! Get ready to show off your costumes, put on your dancing shoes, and make some crafts! No registration required, while supplies last.

Here's a November sneak peak! Local author Laura Bower will return to launch her new picture book, Emily Snook the World's Smallest Cook on Saturday, November 2. Registration will open on October 27 at 8 AM.
