Falling for Stories: Halloween Highlights and Fall Reading Recs
As the air begins to get chilly and animals prepare for winter, the librarians at Scarsdale library are feeling incredibly grateful for the Scarsdale community and all of our patrons. Thank you to those who joined us at the Spooky Soiree and Boo Bash. Seeing the community come out in their amazing costumes was the highlight of our month!
We would like to offer a big congratulations to the over 37 readers who completed our Hallow-Reads challenge!
We have now entered November, which of course means election day! Congratulations to te newly elected President Dog Man and Vice President Cat Kid.
Program Spotlight: Local Author Laura Bower
Scarsdale Library had such a wonderful time hosting local author Laura Bower on November 2nd. She discussed the inspiration behind the book, Emily Snook: World’s Smallest Cook, hosted a Q&A and signed books! Children also have the opportunity to make a treat to bring home!
As you may have noticed, we are now asking for library cards when registering for programs. Make sure you have that information ready when you go to register! If you don’t have a library card, now is the perfect time to sign up at your home library. Library card numbers will be required for registration in 2025.
As always, make sure you follow our registration policies and we look forward to seeing you at the library!
