Bulletin Board and Display Policy

The Scarsdale Public Library maintains a bulletin board and literature rack for the posting and display of announcements (posters, flyers, brochures, etc.) of educational, cultural, intellectual, charitable or civic events taking place in Scarsdale. Announcements of educational, cultural, intellectual, charitable or civic events sponsored by not-for-profit organizations in neighboring communities and elsewhere in Westchester County may be posted, if space permits.

Announcements of public interest are posted on an equitable basis regardless of the beliefs or affiliations of sponsoring individuals or groups. The Library does not advocate or endorse the content or viewpoints of these events.

Advertisements and commercial announcements are prohibited.

Announcements must be legibly printed and not exceed 8 ½” x 11” in size.

Announcements must be submitted to Reference Desk and will not be posted or placed in the display rack without the express approval of the Director or designee.

Announcements will not be displayed more than two [2] weeks in advance of the date of an event or the registration period for an event.

Individuals or groups may not submit notices more frequently than once monthly.

The Village of Scarsdale has designated the Library, among others, as a location for the posting of taxation and election notices.
